Savute Safari Lodge is situated on the banks of the Savute Channel in the Chobe National Park. The area is famous for its population of bull elephant and for the unique interaction of the resident predator species. Savute offers a viewing deck and an al fresco dining area which is ideal for watching game at the waterhole. The sitting area, library and cocktail bar are situated in a beautiful thatch and timber main building. The swimming pool and sundeck overlook the waterhole and the camp has a Curio shop.
The camp consists of 12 luxury rooms on raised platforms offering 11 twin bedded suites and 1 Family room accommodating only 24 guests. Guests can enjoy luxury thatch and timber chalets raised on sweeping private decks with en-suite bathrooms comprising of a shower, hand basin and toilet, fans, complimentary African bio degradable soaps, conditioning shampoo, hand wash, body lotion with insect repellent and a hairdryer is available from the lodge reception. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in each room, a flashlight, gowns, umbrellas and a small safe.
Savute Safari Lodge is known for the the second-largest summer Zebra migration in Africa which is usually determined by the rains, however generally takes place between November and December and again between February and April. The migration attracts large numbers of predators, in turn, offering phenomenal wildlife viewing.
