Seeing these large mammals giving birth and playing in the water of Walker Bay is awe-inspiring. It can be done from land or on a boat trip in Hermanus. Walk along the cliff path starting at the new harbour or join a whale-watching boat trip at the new Harbour.

Water-based activities in Hermanus range from lounging on the several Blue Flag beaches of the Overstrand, sea swimming, snorkelling and shark cage diving excursions to canoeing trips on the lagoons or ocean.
