Whale Watching
Seeing these large mammals giving birth and playing in the water of Walker Bay is awe-inspiring. It can be done from land or on a boat trip in Hermanus. Walk along the cliff path starting at the new harbour or join a whale-watching boat trip at the new Harbour.

Our Shuttles can take you and your group on wine-tasting trips into the Hemel-en -Aarde valley or further afield into the wine regions of the Overberg.
Hiking and Nature
Explore the mountains of Hermanus on the many trails crisscrossing the foothills and higher flanks. Visit the wheel-chair-friendly Fernkloof Nature Reserve or walk along the coastal footpath winding along the cliffs and the ocean.

Water-based Activities
Enjoy the sea and rivers of Hermanus. Water-based activities in Hermanus range from lounging on the several Blue Flag beaches of the Overstrand, sea swimming, snorkelling and shark cage diving excursions to canoeing trips on the lagoons or ocean. Other water-based activities include kite surfing lessons, surfing and body boarding.

Hermanus is a town that inspires artists. Visit art galleries to invest in local art or book your holiday in Hermanus to coincide with the Passion play in April, performances, exhibitions and music of the Fynarts Festival in June or the Kalfiefees in August.
